DR. DOĞAN IŞIK was born on the 28th of March, 1977, in the District of Silifke, City of Mersin, Turkey. Dr. Işik completed his primary education at Gazipaşa Primary School, his secondary education at Atatürk Secondary School, and graduated from high school at Silifke High School.
In 2000 Dr. Işik earned his Degree in Medicine from Izmir Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Medicine, and became a Specialist there in 2006 with the Department of Psychiatry.
After working as a Psychiatry Specialist at Manisa Mental Health and Diseases Hospital for nine years, Dr. Işık resigned and worked as a lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry at Medipol University for fourteen months.
After working at Boylam Psychiatry Institute, Levent, for four months, Dr. Işik worked as a Psychiatrist at Basari Hospital in the GOP region, and then at Avrupa Şafak Hospital until November, 2021.
Dr. Işik now serves his patients at his own Private Psychiatry Clinic, IŞIK PSİKİYATRİ in Istanbul, Turkey. Having worked as a Doctor Lecturer at Medipol University and Fenerbahce University in his academic career, and in addition to running his full-time Clinic, Dr. Işik is also currently completing his Associate Professorship.
Dr. Işik’s areas of expertise include: Alcohol and Drug Addiction, Bipolar Disorder, OCD, Schizophrenia, Resistant Depression, Panic Disorder, Eating Disorders, Anxiety Disorders and Personality Disorders. Applying Schema Therapy or Classical Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in appropriate cases, Dr. Doğan Işık is also a well respected and successful Psychotherapist.
